James "Mike" Callahan - KE4OBE

It is with great sadness we report the passing of Mike Callahan on August 18th, 2024. Mike was known for his use of rain gutters as an HF antenna, making contacts world-wide by improvising in the true spirit of Amateur Radio. Mike enjoyed operating on the HF bands, and in recent years took a big interest in digital modes, usually reporting on his latest endeavors on the WGARS weekly rag-chew nets.
